William Castro is an active Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the Department of Homeland Security. He currently serves as an officer with U.S. Customs and Border Protection since 2011. As a Customs Officer he has worked in narcotics interceptions teams and has also served as an FTO (Field Training Officer). Prior to his career with the U.S. Government, he majored Paralegal Studies at CUNY in the New York City. He’s the Cofounder of the Dominican Law Enforcement officers of Florida Organization and previously held the position of Vice President from 2017-2020.
Maria Rodriguez is a retired NYPD Police Officer/Detective with a Master of Arts in Emergency & Disaster Management and a bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Manages Contract for the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, ORR. Prior to this she served as the Department Chair for the Legal Assistant/Private Investigations Departments at City College and headed the Investigation Division at Jurney & Associates, where she worked with police departments, attorneys and businesses with surveillance, background screening, and undercover field investigations. From 1994-2004, she served as a detective in the narcotics division of the NYPD. She is an Integral leader and top performer who demonstrate proven experience and results in Planning, Development, Training, Management, and Regulatory Compliance.
Luis A. Ortiz is a retired Hollywood, Fl Police Lieutenant with a bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Luis started his law enforcement while in the US Navy. Upon discharge, he was hired by Hollywood Police as a Detention Officer in 1990. He was promoted to Police Officer in 1992. He held various positions within the Police department as an Officer. In 2005 He was promoted to Sergeant. As a Sergeant he was assigned to patrol, Street Crimes Unit, Vice Intelligence Unit, Detective Unit and Quartermasters section. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2014. He was assigned to patrol and Vice Intelligence Unit.
Yelitza V. Cedano is a Sargent for the City of Miami Police Department with a degree in Public Administration, is fluent in both English and Spanish. She started her career with the department 12 years ago and was promoted to Sergeant in 2017. During her time with the department, she worked under the Administration Division Chief coordinating the Policy Review Board which worked alongside the Policy Compliance Unit to review and make changes to policy according to the department’s needs. She worked as a Public Information Officer, and under the Field Operations Chief coordinating the Firearms Review Board which internally reviewed officer involved shootings.
Currently, Yelitza works as a front-line supervisor in the Field Operations Division and has been since her promotion. She holds an array of training certifications in various subjects within her department and looks forward to continuing her advancement within her field of expertise.
